1. Who we are

RenPlay is independently developed and operated. If you have questions about this policy, contact the developer at yosora2016@gmail.com.

2. What stays on your device

RenPlay stores and processes the following data locally:

• A separate copy of each folder or supported ZIP, ZIPX, RAR, or 7z archive you import through Files or transfer directly from another device on your local network. RenPlay reads the item you select but does not modify the original.
• An archive password you enter is used only for the current import attempt. When you enter it in RenPlay's local transfer page, it is sent directly from your browser to RenPlay over your local network. RenPlay does not save it or send it to the developer.
• Save data, library information, title order, detected and custom cover artwork, and per-title settings.
• Translation preferences and cached translation results.
• App settings and recovery copies of files you remove through RenPlay's file manager.

RenPlay has no user account or sign-in. Its developer runs no servers that store this content and cannot access it through RenPlay's normal features.

3. No analytics, advertising, or tracking

RenPlay collects no usage analytics. Its own code includes no advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking SDK, sends no usage events of any kind, and uses no advertising identifier. Its developer operates no crash-reporting or telemetry upload service for the app.

Through normal use of RenPlay, its developer does not receive:

• Your imported folders, archives, file names, or file contents.
• Your save data, dialogue, choices, or translations.
• Your library, covers, settings, or feature usage.
• Your name, email address, precise location, or advertising identifier.

RenPlay contains no ads. Its developer does not sell personal data or track you across apps or websites, and has no usage data to sell or share because RenPlay does not collect it.

4. Network connections and third-party services

RenPlay may make or enable network connections in these situations:

• Local network transfer starts only when you open RenPlay's local network installation screen. While that screen is open, RenPlay runs a temporary HTTP server on your device so that a browser on the same local network can upload a game folder or archive directly to it. Uploaded files, file names, and any archive password travel directly between those devices and are not routed through a server operated by RenPlay's developer. HTTP does not encrypt this local transfer, so use it only on a network you trust. Closing the installation screen stops the server and removes incomplete temporary uploads.
• Translation is performed on your device using Apple's Translation framework. iOS may download and manage the language resources needed for a language pair. Dialogue and translation results are not sent to RenPlay's developer. Apple's handling of its system service is described in Translation & Privacy.
• Imported titles contain executable scripts and run locally inside RenPlay's app container, rather than in a separate per-title iOS sandbox. A title may make network requests if its own code is designed to do so. Those requests go directly to the destination used by that title and do not pass through a server operated by RenPlay's developer. The destination may receive your IP address and any information the title sends, subject to its own privacy practices. Only import content you trust.
• File providers such as iCloud Drive may be involved when you select a folder, archive, file, or image through Files. The provider handles its service under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Sharing happens only when you choose a system Share action. The selected file is then provided to the app, extension, or service you choose, which handles it under its own privacy practices.
• App Store services are used to load RenPlay Supporter information and verify purchase entitlements through StoreKit, as described in section 6.

5. Files, local transfers, and Photos

RenPlay receives external files and images only after you choose them through a system picker or start a local network transfer:

• Files — when you import a title, add a file to an imported title, or choose custom cover artwork.
• Local network — when you open the local network installation screen and choose a game folder or archive in the browser page served by RenPlay on your device.
• Photos — when you use Apple's system photo picker to choose custom cover artwork. RenPlay receives the image you select, not general access to your photo library.

Content selected through these pickers or the local transfer page is not transmitted to RenPlay's developer.

6. Purchases

The optional RenPlay Supporter purchase is handled by Apple's App Store. The developer never receives your payment-card or billing details. RenPlay verifies your signed purchase entitlement on the device using StoreKit and does not send transaction details to a developer-operated server.

7. Data retention and your choices

RenPlay keeps its app data locally until you remove it. A file removed through RenPlay's file manager stays in that title's Recovery area until you restore or permanently delete it. Deleting a title from RenPlay removes its imported copy, save data, cached translations, and recovery items. Your original source in Files remains untouched.

Deleting RenPlay removes its on-device app container. Copies that may exist in an iOS or iCloud backup are controlled through Apple's backup settings. Translation language resources are managed by iOS and may be shared with other apps, so RenPlay does not remove them.

Other than information you voluntarily provide when contacting the developer, RenPlay's developer holds no data about you: no account, uploaded content, analytics, or server-side user profile.

8. Children

RenPlay does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app contains no ads, social features, or user accounts. Imported titles and third-party services may have their own age requirements and privacy practices.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how RenPlay handles data, we will update this policy and the date at the top of this page before the change ships. Significant changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.

If you contact the developer, the developer receives your email address and the information in your message and uses it only to respond, provide support, and maintain necessary records. You may ask for that correspondence to be deleted unless it must be kept for legal or security reasons.
